What Is FunderPro?

FunderPro is a Malta-based proprietary trading firm that lets retail traders access simulated funded accounts, trade with the firm’s capital, and keep a large share of the profits. What makes FunderPro genuinely different from most prop firms is its daily reward system. On the Pro program, you can request a payout any time your account is at least 1% above its starting balance, with no waiting cycles. That feature alone sets them apart in a space where most competitors make you wait 7 to 30 days between payouts.

FunderPro Ltd is a proprietary trading firm founded in February 2023 in Malta. Led by CEO Gary Mullen, the firm offers traders a chance to manage capital ranging from $5,000 to $200,000 with profit splits of up to 80%. The firm is registered at 30/1, Kenilworth Court, Sir Augustus Bartolo Street, Ta’Xbiex, Malta, XBX1093. The model works the way most prop firms do: pay a one-time fee, pass a trading evaluation (or skip it with the Instant Program), receive a funded account, and start earning.

However, FunderPro layers on top of this model with features like no trailing drawdown, unlimited challenge duration, and the ability to request rewards daily on certain programs.

FunderPro by the Numbers

FunderPro’s year-end update reports $21.5M paid to traders in 2025, with 25,000+ participants, 6,984 funded accounts, and 14,058 payouts, an average payout of $1,226. The firm’s standout signature feature is its daily reward system for Pro accounts, a payout model that no other mainstream prop firm has matched. In an industry where weekly and bi-weekly payouts are standard, FunderPro lets funded Pro traders request a reward multiple times per day as long as their account is profitable.

Quick Pros and Cons

Reasons to Join

  • Daily reward requests available on Pro funded accounts, no waiting weeks for your money
  • No trailing drawdown on any program, your drawdown floor never chases your equity
  • Three challenge programs (Pro, Classic, One Phase) plus an Instant Program to fit every trading style
  • No maximum time limits on any challenge, take as long as you need
  • Scales up to $5 million in simulated capital
  • Supports MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and TradeLocker, the broadest platform choice in prop trading

  • Classic program has no consistency rule, ideal for beginners who trade aggressively some days
  • No minimum lot size restrictions on challenge accounts

Reasons to Pause

  • The United States is a restricted country, US-based traders cannot participate
  • News trading on funded accounts requires an add-on or is restricted within a 4-minute window around major events
  • Weekend holding requires a paid Swing add-on on both challenge and funded accounts, it is not free
  • Some Trustpilot reviews report payout delays and account closures tied to IP address flagging
  • The consistency rule on Pro accounts (45%) can extend your challenge if you have one great trading day early on
  • The Instant Program starts at just $79 but only covers up to $100,000, there is no Instant path to the full $200K maximum

Is FunderPro Safe / Legitimate?

Safety Rating: 3.8 / 5 – Legitimate and Transparent, but Still Young

FunderPro is a legitimate prop firm. They have a public company address, a named CEO, independently verifiable Trustpilot reviews, and over $21.5 million in documented payouts in 2025 alone. Here is why they hold up under scrutiny.

What Makes FunderPro Legitimate

Legal registration and physical address. FunderPro is registered in Malta at a verifiable street address. They are not hiding behind an anonymous LLC. Malta is a recognized EU jurisdiction, which adds a layer of credibility that firms registered in less transparent regions cannot offer.

Payout track record. FunderPro distributed $21.5M to traders in 2025, with 14,058 total payouts across the year. These numbers appear on official communications and are referenced consistently across multiple third-party review platforms.

Trustpilot presence. FunderPro has a Trustpilot rating of 4.4 out of 5 based on hundreds of reviews, with 76% of reviewers giving the firm 5 stars. The firm also actively responds to negative reviews, which is a positive trust signal.

Capital risk structure. Traders only ever risk their challenge fee. The funded accounts are simulated, there is no live broker exposure for the trader.

Rule transparency. FunderPro publishes all trading rules, drawdown limits, consistency rule mechanics, and prohibited strategies publicly at funderpro.com/trading-rules and support.funderpro.com. All violations and their consequences are listed in FunderPro’s Terms and Conditions under Prohibited Trading Practices.

What to Be Cautious About

FunderPro was only founded in early 2023, which means they are still a young firm building their long-term track record. Some negative Trustpilot reviews report account closures linked to IP address inconsistencies. FunderPro has the right to monitor access locations and ask for documentation if necessary. If misuse or misrepresentation of location is detected, the firm may stop access or terminate services. Additionally, like every prop firm, FunderPro is not regulated by the FCA, SEC, or any financial watchdog, and their accounts are simulated, not live. Always read the full terms before purchasing a challenge.

Payout Proof and Verification

FunderPro is one of the most transparent prop firms when it comes to payout evidence. Their official rewards page at funderpro.com/rewards displays a live ticker of recent payout certificates, updated in real time. Every certificate shows the trader’s name, the account number, the dollar amount paid, and the date issued.

FunderPro distributed $21.5M in total payouts in 2025, averaging approximately $1,226 per payout across 14,058 individual reward payments.

Verified Trader Experiences

Individual traders on Trustpilot have shared detailed payout experiences. One verified reviewer confirmed receiving 10+ payouts, with the fastest payout approval arriving within just 6 minutes. Another reviewer noted receiving their first three payouts in just 2 hours each.

FunderPro aims to process all funded account rewards within 1 working day from approval, and the average issuing time is 8 hours.

FunderPro also uses Accredible, a recognized digital credential platform, to issue payout certificates. This means each certificate has a unique URL that can be independently verified by anyone, not just the trader who received it. This is a stronger form of proof than a simple screenshot because it cannot be faked.

For direct payout proof, visit funderpro.com/rewards, check their YouTube channel for funded trader interviews, or search their Discord server.

$25,000 ~$199
$50,000 ~$349
$100,000 ~$599
$200,000 ~$1,099

Best for: Active intraday traders who want daily access to their profits and can manage the 45% consistency rule.

Warning: The 45% consistency rule means your single best day cannot exceed 45% of your total profits. If you have a very large winning day early in the challenge, you will need to keep trading until that day’s share of total profits drops below 45%. This can significantly extend your challenge if you run hot early.

Program 2: Classic Challenge – “The Beginner’s Path”

The Classic Challenge is cheaper than the Pro, requires no consistency rule, and has a lower Phase 2 profit target. It is designed for newer traders who want a fairer, more forgiving evaluation.

Best for: Beginners and traders without a fixed schedule who want a lower drawdown structure and no consistency pressure.

Warning: The 6% max drawdown and 3% daily loss limit are tighter than the Pro account’s 10%/5%. This gives you less breathing room on individual trades. Size positions carefully.

Program 3: One Phase Challenge – “The Fast Track”

One profit target, one phase, get funded. This program is designed for expert traders who want a faster route to the funded stage and can potentially complete it in as few as 3 days.

Best for: Experienced traders with a proven strategy who want the cheapest base price and the fastest path to funding.

Warning: Leverage on the One Phase is significantly lower than the Pro and Classic (1:50 forex vs 1:100). This matters most if your strategy relies on tighter margin management with higher position sizes.

Program 4: Instant Program – “Skip the Evaluation”

Challenge Rules Explained

Daily Loss Limit

What it means: Your equity cannot fall below a fixed percentage of your account balance as of the start of the trading day. The day resets at midnight GMT+3 (server time). On Pro accounts, this is 5%, and on Classic and One Phase, it is 3%.

Dollar example: On a $100,000 Pro account, if your balance at the start of the day is $102,000, your allowed daily loss is $5,100 (5% of $102,000). Your equity cannot drop to $96,900 or below for the rest of that day.

Pro tip: Never risk more than 1.5-2% per trade on a Pro account. That way, even three bad trades back-to-back won’t threaten your daily limit.

Maximum Drawdown

What it means: Across the entire lifetime of your account, your equity cannot fall below a fixed percentage of your initial starting balance. Unlike many competitors, FunderPro uses a static (non-trailing) drawdown. The floor never moves up as you profit. This is one of FunderPro’s strongest advantages over firms like FTUK that use trailing drawdown.

Dollar example: On a $50,000 Pro account with 10% max drawdown, your account floor is permanently set at $45,000. Even if you grow the account to $60,000, the floor stays at $45,000, not $54,000. On a Classic account with 6% max drawdown, the same $50,000 account has a floor of $47,000 throughout.

Pro tip: The static drawdown is genuinely forgiving. If you have a strong first week followed by a rough patch, you have a cushion that doesn’t shrink with your success.

FunderPro consistency rule explained with dollar example showing how the 45 percent daily cap works on Pro accounts

Profit Targets

What it means: To pass each challenge phase, you must reach the stated profit percentage as realized profit, meaning all positions must be closed. Floating profits on open trades do not count toward your target.

Dollar example: To pass Phase 1 of a $100,000 Pro Challenge, you need $10,000 in realized profits. To pass Phase 2 of a $200,000 Pro account, you need $16,000 in realized profits, because Phase 2 runs on the doubled balance after scaling.

Pro tip: Don’t close trades early just to “lock in” progress toward the target if those trades still have room to run. Profit is counted when you close the position, so let winners run fully.

Consistency Rule

This is one of the most misunderstood rules in the industry. FunderPro applies it to Pro accounts (45%) and One Phase accounts (40%).

What it means: On Pro accounts, you cannot make more than 45% of your profit target in a single day. For example, if your goal is $10,000, you may only realize up to $4,500 in profits per day. Exceeding this adds the excess to your target rather than speeding completion.

Dollar example: You have a $100,000 Pro account. You need $10,000 to pass Phase 1. On Day 3 you make $6,000. Your best day is now 60% of total profits, above the 45% limit. You now need to reach a new total of $13,333 without making more than $6,000 in any single day.

Pro tip: Aim for consistent 1-3% daily gains rather than swinging for large single-day profits. This approach satisfies the consistency rule automatically and also produces more sustainable funded account performance over time.

News Trading

FunderPro’s news trading rules differ between challenge and funded accounts, and this is a critical distinction.

On Pro challenge accounts, news trading is allowed without restriction. On Pro funded accounts, news trading is restricted only to a select number of news releases. You must close all open positions on affected assets and cannot open any trades 2 minutes before the news release and until 2 minutes after the event.

You can trade news on Pro funded accounts by purchasing the Swing add-on at checkout. Without the add-on, violating the news window on a funded account results in those trade profits being deducted from your reward request.

Pro tip: Check FunderPro’s economic calendar at funderpro.com/economic-calendar before every session. Not all news releases trigger the restriction; only specific high-impact events. Knowing which events are affected ahead of time removes the guesswork.

Weekend Holding

Weekend holding is not enabled by default on any FunderPro program. You may hold positions overnight on Pro Challenge accounts, but all positions must be closed before the weekend. You can hold positions over the weekend on a Pro account by purchasing the Swing add-on at checkout.

Pro tip: If your strategy depends on holding positions through economic data released over the weekend or Asian Sunday opens, buy the Swing add-on upfront. It’s cheaper to add it at checkout than to discover the restriction after your first weekend breach.

Inactivity Rule

If your account is inactive for 30 consecutive days, it will be terminated. This applies to all account types, challenge and funded. You do not need to execute a specific number of trades per day, but you do need to place at least one trade every 30 days to keep your account active.

Margin Rule (Funded Accounts Only)

On funded accounts, you should use no more than 20% of your account margin per asset class. Asset classes include forex, metals, energies, US indices, EU indices, shares, and cryptocurrencies.

Dollar example: If you have two trades open in EURUSD and GBPUSD, each using 15% margin, they are in the same asset class, so together they use 30% margin. This violates the rule. However, one trade in EURUSD at 15% margin and one trade in SPX500 at 15% margin is allowed, because they are in different asset classes.

Pro tip: This rule applies to funded accounts only, not challenge accounts. However, building the habit of capping margin per asset class during the challenge will protect you once you’re funded.

Payouts and Profit Split

Step-by-Step Payout Process

  1. Grow your funded account to at least 1% above the starting balance (Pro) or meet the bi-weekly cycle threshold (Classic, One Phase).
  2. Submit a reward request through your FunderPro dashboard.
  3. Complete KYC verification if you haven’t already, this is required for your first reward.
  4. FunderPro’s team reviews and approves the request.
  5. Payment is processed the average time from approval to receipt is 8 hours.
  6. Funds arrive via bank transfer, crypto, or other available methods.

Payout Frequency by Program

Frequency Program Profit Split Dollar Example ($100K, 5% profit) Best For
Daily (anytime) Pro funded Up to 90% ~$4,500 (at 90%) Active daily traders
Weekly Pro funded (add-on) Up to 90% ~$4,500 Moderate frequency traders
Bi-weekly Classic, One Phase 80% ~$4,000 Swing traders
On demand (min $100) Instant Program 80% Any time in profit Scalpers and high-frequency traders

If daily access to your rewards matters to you, and it should since faster capital access means faster compounding, choose the Pro program. Bi-weekly is fine for swing traders on Classic and One Phase who aren’t monitoring their accounts daily. The Instant Program’s on-demand structure makes it the most flexible, but its lower maximum account size limits your earning ceiling.

Scaling Plan

Account balance can increase by 50% every three months up to $5 million. This means the scaling at FunderPro is slightly less aggressive than FTUK’s doubling model, but the $5 million ceiling is still exceptional for the industry.

Level Requirement Account Balance (starting $100K) Profit Split
Level 1 Pass challenge $100,000 80%
Level 2 3 months + consistent profits $150,000 80%
Level 3 3 months $225,000 80% to 90%
Level 4 3 months $337,500 90%
Level 5 3 months $506,250 90%
Level 6+ Continued Up to $5,000,000 90%

A trader starting with a $200,000 funded account who consistently hits quarterly targets could realistically manage $5 million in simulated capital within a few years, earning 90% of the profits on every trade. That is the single most compelling long-term earnings opportunity that FunderPro offers.

Trading Platforms

FunderPro supports MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and TradeLocker, which is the widest platform selection among major prop firms. Most competitors force traders onto a single platform or exclude MT5 entirely.

Platform Cost EA Support Ease of Use Best For
MetaTrader 5 Included Full MQL5 Intermediate EA traders, algorithmic strategies
cTrader Included cAlgo/C# Intermediate Advanced manual traders
TradeLocker Included Limited Beginner Newer traders, TradingView users
FunderPro supported trading platforms showing MetaTrader 5 cTrader and TradeLocker available for all challenge accounts

Platform Recommendation by Trader Type

  • If you run Expert Advisors written in MQL5, go with MetaTrader 5. This is a critical advantage over firms like FTUK that have dropped MT4 and MT5 entirely.
  • If you are an experienced discretionary trader who wants advanced charting, cTrader is your best option. It has superior order management tools and a cleaner charting interface than MT5.
  • If you are new to prop trading or prefer a modern web-based interface, TradeLocker connects to TradingView and is the most visually intuitive of the three.

Tradeable Assets

FunderPro gives traders access to forex pairs, commodities, indices, stocks, and cryptocurrencies.

Asset Class Instruments Leverage Notes
Forex 40+ currency pairs 1:100 (Pro/Classic), 1:50 (One Phase) Core offering
Metals Gold, Silver 1:30 Popular with swing traders
Energies Oil (WTI, Brent) 1:30 Good for macro traders
Indices SPX, DAX, NASDAQ, FTSE and more 1:30 No commission
Stocks / Shares Selected equities 1:5 (Classic), 1:3 (One Phase) Lower leverage
Crypto BTC, ETH, and others 1:2 Weekend trading available

FunderPro does not offer bonds, ETFs, or options. Traders who focus primarily on fixed income or options strategies will need to look elsewhere.

Advantages (Deep Dive)

1. Daily Rewards on Pro Accounts

No other mainstream prop firm lets funded traders request a reward multiple times per day. With a FunderPro Pro-funded account, you can request a reward any time you are at least 1% above your initial account balance. The average processing time is 8 hours. For traders who depend on prop trading as income, this is not just a feature; it is a fundamental quality of life upgrade. You do not need to wait two weeks, worry about bi-weekly cycles, or plan your trading around payout dates.

2. No Trailing Drawdown on Any Program

Most One-Step and Instant Funding programs in the industry use trailing drawdown, meaning your drawdown floor rises as your equity rises. This catches traders who have a strong winning week followed by a natural retracement. FunderPro uses only static drawdown across all programs. Your floor is set at account opening and never moves against you. On a $100,000 Pro account, that floor is $90,000 forever, whether you’ve grown the account to $115,000 or not.

3. Full MetaTrader 5 and cTrader Support

In a market where FTMO limits you to MT4/MT5 and FTUK doesn’t support MetaTrader at all, FunderPro stands out by offering MT5, cTrader, and TradeLocker. This matters enormously for algorithmic traders who have built strategies in MQL5, and for discretionary traders who are already comfortable with cTrader’s execution environment. Switching platforms always carries a learning curve, and FunderPro minimizes that friction.

4. Fee Refunded on First Reward

On all challenge programs (Pro, Classic, One Phase), the challenge fee is fully credited back with your first reward payment. In practical terms, this means the challenge is free if you pass and earn your first payout. For a $25,000 One Phase at $219, that $219 comes back the moment you request your first withdrawal as a funded trader.

5. No Time Limits on Any Program

FunderPro has no deadline for completing the evaluation program. This is a genuine differentiator for traders who have full-time jobs, trade specific market sessions, or use slower strategies like swing trading. The only rule is that you must trade at least once every 30 days to avoid the inactivity termination.

6. Classic Program Has No Consistency Rule

The consistency rule is the single biggest source of frustration for traders at firms like FTMO, FTUK, and FunderPro’s own Pro program. FunderPro’s Classic program removes it entirely. There is no cap on how much you can earn in a single trading day. For traders who run an event-driven strategy or trade around major catalysts, this freedom is extremely valuable.

7. Up to 90% Profit Split

FunderPro offers profit splits up to 90% for funded traders. The base split is 80% across all programs, with 90% available through scaling milestones on the Pro program. This is at the top end of what the industry offers.

Disadvantages (Deep Dive)

1. The United States Is Restricted

Who it hurts: Millions of skilled traders based in the US who make up one of the largest prop trading audiences globally.

The United States is among the countries barred from purchasing or participating in FunderPro’s programs because of regulatory and financial compliance policies. This is not a small limitation. US-based traders who find FunderPro through social media, YouTube reviews, or affiliates will be disappointed when they reach the checkout and discover they cannot sign up.

Workaround: US-based traders can look at FTUK (which explicitly accepts US traders) or Apex Trader Funding, which has US-compliant futures programs.

2. Weekend Holding and News Holding Require Paid Add-ons

Who it hurts: Swing traders, macro traders, and anyone who cannot close all positions by Friday market close.

Weekend holding is not included in any FunderPro program by default. You have to pay for the Swing add-on separately. On top of that, holding positions through news events on funded accounts also requires an add-on. These features feel like they should be standard, especially at the funded account level, where restrictions become most impactful.

Workaround: If you are a swing trader, budget for the Swing add-on from the start. Factor it into your entry cost before comparing programs with competitors.

3. Consistency Rule Can Extend Your Challenge Unexpectedly

Who it hurts: Traders who have one exceptional trading day early in their challenge, especially scalpers and momentum traders.

If you exceed the consistency threshold, you cannot fail your challenge, but you need to keep trading until your best day’s share of total profits drops below the required percentage. For some traders, this can add weeks to the challenge timeline. Worse, during this extended period, you are still subject to drawdown risk, meaning a good day early in the challenge followed by bad days later could end your account while you are trying to satisfy the consistency rule.

Workaround: Use the Classic program if the consistency rule frustrates you. Classic has no consistency rule and still offers 80% profit split with a refundable fee.

4. Payout Delays and IP Address Issues Reported by Some Traders

Who it hurts: Traders who travel internationally, use VPNs, or share internet connections.

Some Trustpilot reviewers report that FunderPro flagged accounts for IP address inconsistencies and refused payouts, citing unclear rule violations. The firm states that accounts accessed from locations other than the registered billing address can trigger compliance reviews. This is a real operational risk for traders who travel frequently or use shared office networks.

Workaround: Always access your FunderPro account from the same IP location registered at signup. Disable any VPN software before logging in. Contact support before traveling internationally for extended periods.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Mistake 1: Triggering the Consistency Rule on Your First Big Winning Day

What it is: Earning more than 45% of your total Pro challenge target on a single day, which forces you to keep trading past your intended completion date.

Why traders make it: They trade aggressively on a strong day, hit a great run, and assume they’ve effectively finished the challenge early.

Fix: Cap your daily target at 40% of your Phase 1 profit goal intentionally. On a $25,000 Pro account, that means stopping once you’ve made $1,000 in a single session (40% of the $2,500 target). Use Classic if you don’t want to manage this at all.

Mistake 2: Holding Positions Over the Weekend Without the Swing Add-on

What it is: Leaving trades open at Friday’s market close without having purchased the Swing add-on, resulting in a rule violation.

Why traders make it: They assume weekend holding is standard, especially since other prop firms offer it for free.

Fix: Add the Swing option at checkout if your strategy involves holding through the weekend. Do not assume it is included, it is not on any FunderPro program by default.

Mistake 3: Requesting a Reward Before Completing KYC

What it is: Attempting to withdraw profits before submitting identity verification documents.

Why traders make it: They hit profit targets quickly and assume the payout will process automatically.

Fix: Submit your KYC documents as soon as you receive your funded account, before you even place your first funded trade. This way, your verification is already approved by the time you’re ready to request a reward.

Mistake 4: Exceeding the 20% Margin Rule on Funded Accounts

What it is: Opening multiple trades in the same asset class that together consume more than 20% of your account margin.

Why traders make it: They treat each trade individually and don’t calculate the combined margin across correlated instruments.

Fix: Remember that EURUSD and GBPUSD are in the same asset class. Two trades each using 15% margin in the same class equals 30%, which is a violation. Treat correlated pairs as a combined position.

Mistake 5: Using a VPN or Logging In from a Travel Location

What it is: Accessing your FunderPro account from a different country than your registered address, either through travel or VPN use.

Why traders make it: Habit, privacy concerns, or simply forgetting the VPN is active.

Fix: Always disable your VPN before logging into FunderPro. If you are traveling internationally, contact support in advance to notify them of your location change.

FunderPro is a well-designed, genuinely innovative prop firm with one standout feature that no competitor has matched: the ability to request funded account rewards daily on Pro accounts, sometimes multiple times in a single day. Their static drawdown model, full MetaTrader 5 and cTrader support, no time limits, and fee refund policy make them one of the more trader-friendly firms in the space.

Where they fall short is primarily geographic the US restriction cuts off a huge audience, and in the cost of add-ons that feel like they should be included by default, particularly weekend holding. The consistency rule on Pro accounts is well-designed but genuinely confusing for new traders if they hit a large winning day early in their evaluation.

Important Warnings

Challenge Pass Rate Reality Check

The industry-wide pass rate is below 10%. FunderPro does not publish a public pass rate. Most challenge failures occur from drawdown violations caused by oversizing, revenge trading, or rushing the profit target. Treat the challenge as a real professional trading account, not a shortcut.

Demo Account Clarification

All FunderPro accounts operate in a simulated trading environment. Funds allocated are fictitious, as explicitly stated on FunderPro’s homepage. This is the standard model across the entire prop firm industry and does not reduce the legitimacy of payouts, but you are not managing live institutional capital.

Regulation Status

FunderPro is based in Malta, which is an EU jurisdiction, and the firm is registered there as a company. However, they are not regulated by any financial authority such as the FCA, ESMA, MiFID-licensed body, or the SEC. There is no government-backed protection for your challenge fee. Only invest an amount you can afford to lose as an entry cost.

Rules Can Change

FunderPro has updated its programs and rules since launching in 2023. The consistency rule percentages, add-on pricing, and reward frequencies may all change. Always verify current terms at support.funderpro.com before purchasing a new challenge.

Disclaimer: Prop trading involves substantial risk. The majority of challenge participants do not receive funded accounts. Past challenge performance does not guarantee future results in a funded account. All funded accounts are simulated, not live brokerage accounts.
