SwayFunded (also called Sway Funded or just Sway) is a prop trading company that gives traders simulated money to practice with. If you trade well and follow the rules, they pay you real profits based on your performance. The company started in March 2024 β making them one of the newest prop firms available.
Despite being so new, SwayFunded has grown fast. In less than 12 months, they've onboarded over 100,000 traders, paid out millions in profits, and even acquired three other prop firms: MyFlashFunding (July 2024), Glow Node (August 2024), and Karma Prop (September 2024).
SwayFunded is VERY new. They only started in March 2024. This means they don't have a long track record yet. Some traders love them, others have had problems with the platform. We cover everything in this review so you can decide if they're right for you.
The short answer: SwayFunded appears legitimate for now, but with serious caution because they are so new. Here's how to think about the safety picture clearly.
SwayFunded offers three different paths to get funded. Each one works for a different type of trader. Pick the one that fits your style and skill level.
This is for traders who want funding as quickly as possible. Only one phase to pass, then you're funded.
| Account Size | Challenge Fee | Fee Refundable? |
|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | $15 | β Yes |
| $5,000 | $74 | β Yes |
| $10,000 | $149 | β Yes |
| $25,000 | $374 | β Yes |
| $50,000 | $749 | β Yes |
| $100,000 | $1,484 | β Yes |
| $200,000 | $1,484 | β Yes |
Best For: Experienced traders wanting fast funding, people confident they can hit 15% profit, those willing to pay more for speed.
Not For: Beginners β the 15% target in one phase is steep. More expensive than Regular for the same account size.
This is the most popular option and the best balance of cost, rules, and speed. Two phases, then funded.
| Account Size | Challenge Fee | Monthly Profit (80%) | Fee Refundable? |
|---|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | $10 | ~$80/month | β Yes |
| $5,000 | $49 | ~$400/month | β Yes |
| $10,000 | $99 | ~$800/month | β Yes |
| $25,000 | $249 | ~$2,000/month | β Yes |
| $50,000 | $499 | ~$4,000/month | β Yes |
| $100,000 | $749 | ~$8,000/month | β Yes |
| $200,000 | $989 | ~$16,000/month | β Yes |
You buy a $50,000 Regular challenge for $499. You pass Phase 1 (10%) and Phase 2 (8%). You get funded. In month one you make $5,000 profit. You keep 80% = $4,000. You also get your $499 fee back. First payment total: $4,499.
Best For: Most traders β intermediate skill, reasonable targets, most affordable option.
Not For: Those who want speed (2 phases take longer) or those who want the No Consistency benefit.
This is SwayFunded's most unique offering. Three phases, but the consistency rule is completely removed β you can make all your profit in one day if you want.
Most prop firms have a consistency rule: your best trading day cannot be more than 30β40% of your total profits. One huge winning day disqualifies you. SwayFunded's No Consistency challenge completely removes this restriction. You can make 100% of your profit in a single lucky trade and still pass. No penalty. No rejection.
| Account Size | Challenge Fee | Fee Refundable? |
|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | $12 | β Yes |
| $5,000 | $59 | β Yes |
| $10,000 | $119 | β Yes |
| $25,000 | $299 | β Yes |
| $50,000 | $599 | β Yes |
| $100,000 | $899 | β Yes |
| $200,000 | $1,187 | β Yes |
Best For: Aggressive traders who take big swings, news event traders who make most profit on one day, scalpers with irregular daily results.
Not For: Those who want fast funding β three phases is the longest path.

*News trading allowed with 5-minute buffer before/after restricted high-impact events.
Rules are the most important part. Break a rule = account closed instantly. No warnings. No refunds. Here are all the rules explained clearly.
You cannot lose more than 5% of your starting account equity in any single day.
Daily limit = $5,000. If you lose $5,001 in one trading day, your account closes permanently. No exceptions. Resets every midnight at 00:00 GMT+2 server time.
This counts ALL activity that day β wins, losses, open floating positions, commissions. If you're close to the limit, stop trading and wait for midnight reset.
Set a personal soft stop at 3% loss. That leaves you 2% buffer before the hard limit hits. Never try to "revenge trade" back after hitting 3% β wait for tomorrow.
This is the most critical rule at SwayFunded and the one most traders misunderstand. SwayFunded uses trailing drawdown β not static balance-based drawdown. Your breach level moves upward as your balance grows, but it never moves back down.
Trailing drawdown is significantly harder than balance-based drawdown used by FTMO and FundedNext. Understand this fully before starting. Calculate your breach level every single day.
You must reach these profit levels from your starting balance to progress through each phase. Only closed trades count toward targets β open floating profits are not counted.
| Phase | Rapid | Regular | No Consistency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | 15% (30% w/addon) | 10% (20% w/addon) | 10% (20% w/addon) |
| Phase 2 | N/A | 8% (16% w/addon) | 8% (16% w/addon) |
| Phase 3 | N/A | N/A | 8% (16% w/addon) |
You must place trades on at least 4 separate calendar days during each phase before you can progress β even if you hit your profit target in just 2 days.
You hit your 10% profit target on Day 2. You still cannot advance. Make at least one trade on 2 more separate days to fulfill the 4-day minimum. Days don't need to be consecutive. Even a losing day counts.
When you hit your target early, don't force risky trades. Make tiny, minimal-risk trades on the remaining days just to fulfill the day count requirement.
Your single best trading day cannot represent more than 40% of your total profit. This applies to both Rapid and Regular challenges. The "No Consistency" challenge removes this rule entirely.
Total profit target: $10,000. You make $7,000 on Monday (one great day) and $3,000 spread over the rest of the month. Total profit: $10,000 β . Best single day: $7,000 = 70% of total β β you fail the consistency rule. The maximum allowed is 40%.
Aim to spread your profits across at least 5β6 days minimum. If you have a big winning day, keep trading carefully afterward to add more profit and bring your best-day percentage below 40%.
News trading is permitted on all challenge types. The only restriction is a 5-minute window around "restricted" high-impact events listed in your dashboard.
Check your dashboard daily for restricted events. When unsure, simply wait 10 minutes after major news (NFP, FOMC, CPI) before re-entering. Better to miss one entry than fail your account.

When checking out, you can purchase optional add-ons to modify your challenge conditions.
| Add-On | What It Does | Who Should Buy |
|---|---|---|
| 90% Profit Split | Keep 90% instead of 80% | High-profit experienced traders |
| 95% Profit Split | Keep 95% instead of 80% | Professionals making consistent big profits |
| Boosted Targets | Doubles profit targets (10%β20%, 15%β30%) | Aggressive traders with high-conviction strategies |
| Increased Drawdown | Changes 5%/10% limits to 10%/20% | NOT recommended β more room = more temptation |
For beginners: skip all add-ons. Master the standard settings first. Only consider the 90β95% profit split add-on once you're consistently profitable.
Getting your money from SwayFunded is fast β sometimes under 1 minute. Here's exactly how it works.
Complete all required phases for your chosen challenge type. Hit profit targets, follow rules, meet minimum trading days.
Submit identity documents (passport or national ID) and a selfie. This is required before any payout can be processed.
Receive a new funded account login. Trade on this account following the same risk rules. Build your profit balance.
Before your first payout, you must trade on at least 4 calendar days on the funded account. Build a track record.
Log into dashboard β Payouts section β Request Payout. Provide your crypto wallet address (USDT, BTC, or ETH).
They verify no rule violations, manual trading, and clean activity. Usually takes minutes to a few hours.
Payment dispatched in your chosen crypto. Your challenge fee is included in the first payout as a 100% refund.
Crypto lands in seconds to minutes. After your first payout, you can request again every 4 trading days.
| Method | Supported? | Speed | Fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| USDT (Tether) | β Yes | Seconds to minutes | $1β$5 network fee |
| Bitcoin (BTC) | β Yes | Seconds to minutes | $5β$20 network fee |
| Ethereum (ETH) | β Yes | Seconds to minutes | $5β$15 network fee |
| Bank Transfer | β No | N/A | N/A |
| PayPal / Wise | β No | N/A | N/A |
Withdrawal fee: 1.5% on all payouts (e.g. $60 on a $4,000 payout), plus small network fees.
Set up your crypto wallet BEFORE you start your challenge β not after you pass. Many traders scramble to set one up at payout time. Download Trust Wallet or Coinbase Wallet, generate your USDT address, and test receiving a small amount first.
SwayFunded uses Liquid Charts as their trading platform β not MetaTrader 4 or 5. This is the single biggest frustration point for many experienced traders.
Liquid Charts is a web-based trading platform created by FDCTech specifically for prop firms. It runs in your browser (no download required), and also has downloadable versions for desktop and mobile.
| Feature | Liquid Charts | MT4/MT5 |
|---|---|---|
| Web Browser Trading | β Yes | β Yes (MT5) |

| Custom Indicators Library | β οΈ Basic only | β Thousands |
| Community & Support | β οΈ Small | β Huge |

| Learning Curve | 1β2 days | Already familiar |
MetaQuotes (makers of MT4/MT5) banned many prop firms from using their platforms in 2023. SwayFunded launched in 2024 and partnered directly with Liquid Brokers and their Liquid Charts platform to avoid this issue. It works reliably for prop trading, but it's unfamiliar to the majority of traders who grew up on MetaTrader.
SwayFunded offers access to multiple asset classes through Liquid Charts.
| Asset Class | Instruments Available | Notable Examples | Commission |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forex | 40+ currency pairs | EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, exotics | From 0.0 pips + $7/lot |
| Indices | 10+ major indices | S&P 500, NASDAQ, DAX, FTSE 100 | Standard spread |
| Commodities | 5β8 instruments | Gold, Silver, Oil (WTI & Brent), Gas | Standard spread |
| Cryptocurrencies | 2+ pairs | Bitcoin, Ethereum | Higher spread |
| US Stocks CFDs | Multiple | Apple, Tesla, Amazon, Meta, Google | Standard spread |
Leverage: Up to 1:50 across instruments. Leverage available from 1:1 to 1:50 depending on instrument and program settings.
What you CANNOT trade: Options, futures, bonds, ETFs, penny stocks. SwayFunded focuses exclusively on CFDs (Contracts for Difference).
Here are the 8 best reasons to choose SwayFunded.
At $10 for the Regular $1,000 challenge, SwayFunded has the cheapest prop firm entry in the industry. Even the $25,000 account costs only $249. This makes prop trading accessible to almost anyone.
You spend $10 to test SwayFunded. You fail. Try again ($10). Fail. Third attempt ($10) β you pass. Total cost: $30. You get $10 back as your refund. Net spent on education: $20. Most firms charge $169 for a single $10K attempt.
Crypto payments are instant once processed. Many traders report getting paid in under 60 seconds. Even in normal cases, payouts arrive within 24 hours β far faster than firms using bank transfers (3β5 business days).
Day 1: Get funded. Day 5: Trade 4 days minimum. Day 6: Request first payout. Day 6 (same day): Money in your USDT wallet. That's real speed β no waiting, no weekday delays.
There are zero deadlines on any challenge type. Trade at your own pace β 2 weeks or 6 months. Perfect for swing traders, part-time traders, and anyone who doesn't want to rush.
Every single challenge fee is 100% refunded with your first payout. The challenge fee is essentially a deposit you get back. Your only real cost is time and trading performance.
This feature is rare in the industry. Most prop firms penalize traders who make most of their profit in a single day. SwayFunded's No Consistency challenge removes this restriction entirely β you can make all your profit on one explosive day and still pass.
News event traders, breakout traders, and anyone whose edge is concentrated around specific market moments will love this. No other major prop firm offers this in quite the same way.
While the base split is 80%, you can upgrade to 90% or even 95% with paid add-ons. At 95%, you keep $9,500 of every $10,000 profit β leaving just $500 for SwayFunded.
On a $100,000 account making 5% monthly ($5,000 profit): At 80% you keep $4,000. At 90% you keep $4,500. At 95% you keep $4,750. Over 12 months that's $9,000 more per year at 95% vs 80%.
Hold positions from Friday through the weekend to Monday with no forced closes. Many prop firms require you to exit everything before Friday close. SwayFunded lets swing trades run their course naturally.
Rapid (1 phase, fast), Regular (2 phases, balanced), and No Consistency (3 phases, most flexible). Very few firms offer this variety. You can choose based on your skill level, strategy style, and patience.
No firm is perfect. Here are SwayFunded's four main problems.
SwayFunded launched in March 2024. That's less than one year of operation. Compare this to FTMO (2015, 10 years), The5%ers (2016, 9 years), and even newer firms like Goat Funded (2023, 2 years). SwayFunded is by far the youngest of any major prop firm.
Why It Matters: No long-term track record. We can't know if they'll be operational in 5 years. Many prop firms shut down in their first 2 years.
β Workaround: Start very small ($10β$49 challenges). Never commit large amounts until you've tested payouts and seen consistent experience over several months.
There are no bank transfers, PayPal, Wise, or traditional payment options. You must have a cryptocurrency wallet to receive any payout.
Why It Matters: Many traders β especially older traders or those in regions with crypto restrictions β find this frustrating or impossible to manage.
β Workaround: If you want to use SwayFunded, set up Trust Wallet or Coinbase Wallet before starting. Use USDT (stable, always $1 value) to avoid crypto price volatility on your earnings.
No MetaTrader 4. No MetaTrader 5. No cTrader. You must learn and use Liquid Charts, an unfamiliar platform with a much smaller community, fewer indicators, and limited EA support.
Who This Hurts: Traders who have spent years mastering MT4/MT5 and rely on its large indicator ecosystem or automated Expert Advisors.
β Workaround: Use TradingView or MT4/MT5 for your analysis and chart reading, then manually place the trades on Liquid Charts. Adds a step but works fine for manual traders.
SwayFunded currently has no scaling program. Your funded account stays at its starting size. The maximum is $200,000 β there is no path to grow beyond this as your skills improve.
Why It Matters: Serious career traders want to grow to $500K, $1M, $2M over time. SwayFunded offers no such pathway currently.
β Workaround: Purchase and pass multiple funded challenges simultaneously. Running two $100K accounts gives you $200K total exposure, but each account stays at its starting size individually.

These are the top reasons traders fail at SwayFunded. Learn them. Avoid them.
The number one mistake. Traders grow their account to $108,000, assume they still have $10,000 buffer from the start, and are shocked when their account terminates at $97,000. The breach level follows your highest balance β it never resets downward.
β Fix: Calculate your breach level every single morning before trading. Write it down. Set a phone alert 2% above it as a warning.
You lose 3% by noon. You try to recover in the afternoon. Hit 5.1% total daily loss. Account terminated. This happens thousands of times per day across all prop firms.
β Fix: Set a personal hard stop at 3% daily loss. When you hit it, close your platform and wait for midnight reset. Tomorrow is another day.
Make 8% profit in one lucky session. Stop trading. Think you passed. Get rejected because that one session was 80% of total profits β far above the 40% consistency limit.
β Fix: After any big-profit session, keep trading conservatively to distribute profits across more days. Or choose the No Consistency challenge to remove this rule entirely.
You pass your challenge. You request your first payout. Then you scramble to figure out how crypto wallets work. You delay your payment by days while fumbling through wallet setup.
β Fix: Download Trust Wallet the same day you start your challenge. Get your USDT address. Send yourself $10 as a test. Have everything ready before you even need it.
You trade during NFP. Your order fills in the restricted window. Your profit for that trade gets voided or your account gets flagged. All that risk for one trade you didn't need to take.
β Fix: Check the restricted events list in your dashboard every morning. When unsure, wait 10 minutes after any major news before entering. The market will still be there.
SwayFunded brings genuine innovation to prop trading β the lowest entry cost in the industry, lightning-fast crypto payouts, and the unique No Consistency challenge option. But their extreme youth (less than 1 year old) and crypto-only payments make them a secondary choice for most traders right now.
If you're a complete beginner: Start with the $10 Regular challenge. Risk almost nothing. Learn the platform. Understand trailing drawdown. Test everything before scaling up.
If you understand crypto and want fastest payouts: SwayFunded is one of the best options available. The payment speed is genuinely unmatched.
If you use bots, need MT4/MT5, or hate crypto: Skip SwayFunded entirely. Choose FTMO, FundedNext, or Goat Funded Trader instead β all offer traditional platforms, balance-based drawdown, and conventional payment methods.
SwayFunded started March 2024. No long-term track record exists. Never commit your entire prop trading career to a firm this new. Start small and diversify.
You MUST have a crypto wallet to receive any payout. If you don't understand cryptocurrency or can't use it in your country, this firm is not suitable for you.
The loss limit follows your highest balance up but never comes back down. This is significantly more difficult to manage than balance-based drawdown used by FTMO, FundedNext, and others.
Some traders report freezing, order failures, and inconsistent P&L displays on Liquid Charts. Test thoroughly on their free demo before committing real challenge fees.
If you've decided to try SwayFunded, follow this step-by-step action plan carefully.
Download Trust Wallet or Coinbase Wallet. Generate your USDT address. Send yourself $10 as a test. Have this all ready before you buy anything.
Test Liquid Charts before committing. Get comfortable with the interface. Learn where everything is. Understand trailing drawdown with fake money first.
Beginners: Regular $10 ($1K account). Intermediate: Regular $249 ($25K account). Aggressive traders: No Consistency. Speed seekers: Rapid.
Payment by credit card or crypto. Within minutes you'll receive your Liquid Charts login by email. Log in and check your challenge dashboard.
Never exceed 3% daily loss (personal rule). Calculate breach level every morning. Spread profits over multiple days. Avoid 5-minute news windows. Make minimum 4 trades on separate days.
Trade 4 days on funded account, then request payout. Include your USDT wallet address. Receive money β and your fee refund β sometimes in under a minute.
Use discount codes from SwayFunded's website or social media for up to 50% off challenge fees. Check their promotions page before paying full price. And always start smaller than you think you should β master the trailing drawdown with a $10 challenge before risking $749.
Pass Rate Reality: Industry estimates suggest 85β90% of traders fail prop firm challenges. Only 10β15% pass on a first attempt. Never spend money on challenge fees that you need for essential living costs.
Demo Accounts Only: All SwayFunded accounts β including funded accounts β use simulated funds. You are not trading real markets with real money. SwayFunded pays you based on your simulated performance.
Not Regulated: SwayFunded is not overseen by any financial regulatory authority. This is standard for prop firms, but means no official recourse if issues arise.
